Parks
Approximately one third of the surface area of Helsinki consists of various green areas, including constructed or unconstructed parks. Stara makes sure the green areas are pleasant. Stara employs a couple of hundred gardeners, park workers and arborists.
We build urban greenery in Helsinki and make sure that the city blooms all year round.
We manage approximately 50% of Helsinki’s green areas, including Esplanade Park, Sinebrychoff Park, Kaivopuisto, Kaisaniemi Park, Hesperia Park and the City Garden.
Our garden service grows group and sale plants in the City Garden and designs flower group and box plantings for the needs of the City of Helsinki. The service also includes space decorations, floral design and maintenance and rental of green plants, as well as maintenance of the Winter Garden. Furthermore, we provide arboricultural services, tree valuations and pesticide spraying.
